Zoom Groups

From the Center’s Manager, Sean Bolan:

Our first round of Zoom Support groups will be starting the first week of August. Our initial offerings include:

LGBT and Friends on Mondays from 2:00 to 3:00pm

“It’s not all sunshine and rainbows!” Join us in a safe environment for LGBTQ and allies to share and get support in navigating life’s challenges.

Check-in/Open Topic on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 10:30am

This group provides a safe and supportive place for members to share their struggles and success!

Beginning Spanish on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:00pm

Together we will be learning Spanish starting with the basics in a fun and friendly environment. Join us for an opportunity to expand your linguistic repertoire. No prior knowledge required.

Art Group on Thursdays from 11am to Noon

This group is about sharing your creativity on Zoom. Enjoy the process of social creativity and share your works of art with other talented artists.

Visions & Voices on Thursdays from 1:00 to 2:00pm

A peer support group for those of us who see and/or hear things others may label as “hallucinations.” We can talk to each other, ask questions, and find out we are not alone in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Check-in/Open Topic on Fridays from 9:30 to 10:30am

This group provides a safe and supportive place for members to share their struggles and success!

Open Mic on Fridays from 12:00 to 2:00pm

Share your creativity with the community. Whether you want to sing along to your favorite song, play an instrument, read poetry, or perform your own stand-up comedy; this is your time to have fun and shine! Emphasis is on fun and all are welcome!

Email sean.bolan@westcountyservices.org if you are interested in joining any of these groups and you will be provided with information about how to join via Zoom. Please specify which group you are planning to attend. We hope to see you soon and we will be adding more groups next month.
